Brody

2010 - 2025

Most of my life was spent watching you come and go from our little pottery studio. When I was younger, I tried to greet everyone--especially little kids, who were always so curious and gentle with me.

As I got older, and started to slow down, I didn’t greet people as much, but I was just as content to lie in my bed, in my little patch of sunshine, and watch over the proceedings.

I had a good long life and was loved by my mom and dad. They put the name 'Brody Bad Girl' on my collar because I liked to escape all the time (it's the Husky in me), but deep down I know I was their Good Girl.

Some things you might not know about me: I escaped from a locked cage inside a locked house once, when I was just a puppy.  (Mom and Dad are still trying to figure out how I did it.)  I ran with a pack of coyotes on more than one occasion.   I starred in a movie and have my own IMDB page.  I can tell time and know exactly when lunch is.  My favorite game is playing Hide and Seek with my mom, and my favorite thing to do with dad is sleep in the office with him when he’s up late writing.

Even though I’m off on a new adventure, and I’m not here for you to pet, or scritch me behind my ears, the love and appreciation I felt for you remains, and, in that sense, I will always be here.
